Hong Kong’s Startup Ecosystem

Hong Kong’s startup ecosystem has drastically increased in the past few years.  In 2015, Hong Kong saw a significant increase in the number of startups (+46 percent), staff (+56 percent) and workstations (+60 percent) from a year ago.  According to InvestHK’s latest survey on Hong Kong’s startup ecosystem, there were 1,558 startups, involving 3,721 staff and 4,535 workstations as of August 2015.

In 2015, out of 1,912 entrepreneurs, 692 (36 percent) founded their startups in public funded co-work spaces/incubators/accelerators, while 1,220 (64 percent) were based in private facilities.

Miss QT started her career with Credit Suisse Investment Bank issuing Structured Products to Private Banks, and later joined UBS Private Bank where she spent the bulk of her career. She works at a Technology Hedge Fund that specializes in global technology investments.
