The Division

The Division

This is a long over due report on the latest sensation in the game world, The Tom Clancy’s The Division.  This game was the reason I got the xbox 1 almost two years ago (the day one edition pre-ordered from Amazon), was released on March 8th, since then I was very busy travelling to the NYC every night.

The story was set on a Christmas holiday season in NY, where some scientists released a mutated virus causing the shut down of NY.  A group of sleeper agents (the players) were to step in and try to bring order to the chaos.  The game was split into two parts, a storyline which was mostly pve and a small area 1/3 of the game map size called the darkzone for both pvp and pve gameplay.  The game had a bumpy start, although it was the best-selling game of Ubisoft and the industry’s biggest first-week launch and estimated to have generated 330 millions in sales, but the game was had a lot bugs and glitches, especially on the PC version, there were many add-on softwares that allowed the players to cheat the system. Ubisoft was aware of that and made update patches and banned accounts of those cheaters.

Recently I was in NY in person and it was fun visiting the places and landmarks inside the game as the game was quite detailed and realistic in form of the landscape and buildings.

Tomorrow is the 2nd largest update 1.2, where 4 new gear sets will come in along with some other changes and additional game contents.

I am very much looking forward to tomorrow’s update and will probably be home playing all night.  For those who wants to team up with me, you can email me for my gamertag.
